Parley

When people ask how old Parley is I always say she just turned two. In fact yesterday, my friend was referring to Parley, and turned to me and said, "she's two and a half, right?" I of course said, "no, she's two." But then it hit me. The reason half her clothes don't fit, the reason her pants are an inch shorter than the beginning of summer, the reason her vocabulary has exploded is because (gasp!) she is two and a half years old. Well, I guess she is two and five months, but come on, to a mother that is close enough. I could have sworn we just went to the aquarium with her cousins for her birthday. I truly feel it was not too long ago that we flew to Utah, which happened to be the day before her birthday. But some how five months has passed me by and my little girl is growing older. She has such a fun little personality. Even when she is particularly grumpy, her smile comes easily and her mood changes in a blink of an eye. What a fun little girl. Now, if I could just figure out how she got so blonde...

Lead Me By The Hand

We went to a place this weekend where they have a scaled down replica of the Mississippi. You can follow it from beginning to end. The kids loved walking in the water, but the uneven terrain proved tough for Parley. She had to hold Daddy's hand in order to make her way down the river. Every once in awhile she would slip, and hold on a little tighter. Once I saw this photo it reminded me how necessary it is for us to hold our Savior's hand as we forge through our own rivers of life. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of the Plan of Salvation and why I am here on earth. I am grateful for the knowledge that I have that when I may slip, I can hold my Savior's hand a little tighter. I am also grateful that I can be with this cutie and her brother and sister and father forever.

Dragonflies!

We had an infestation of dragonflies this weekend. Hundreds of dragonflies swarmed our yard, and luckily the kids had their flycatchers ready! We had a great time running around trying to catch them, but they proved to be very elusive. Good thing the south is swarming with bugs, we will have plenty of chances to catch something.

Best Babysitter Ever

Every morning Tucker asks to hold Piper. She loves him and they can sit together for the longest time. It's great because I can take a shower and get some housework done! Don't these two look similar?

Parley's Hair

In the words of one of Randy's favorite movies...
"Head move, now!" "Look at the size of that boy's head, it's like Sputnik!"
...these words come to mind as Parley's hair is becoming increasingly unmanageable. Isn't her hair wild? I think hair crazy hair matches her personality!
